The Laurie Lawrence Academic Achievement Scholarship was created by the friends and family of Laurie Lawrence, and employees of CBS, where Laurie was a long-time employee and dedicated Big to four Littles over the course of 10 years in the CBS Workplace Mentoring Program.
Laurie died suddenly in 2017 but her legacy lives on through the scholarship in her honor awarded to two Littles from the Workplace Mentoring Program who emulate the characteristics of Laurie: compassion, volunteerism and charisma.
Here’s how your donations directly impact our work:
Your $12 donation potentially covers the cost for a Little to meet their Big for the first time—a step that sparks meaningful connections and life-changing mentorship.
A $25 donation potentially covers the cost of a match kit for newly matched Bigs and Littles at their initial meeting to help them connect and build their relationship.
A $120 donation could cover our recruitment and engagement efforts to connect interested mentors with Littles waiting for a Big, helping to spark the beginning of something truly impactful.
A $250 donation potentially helps us match dedicated Bigs with Littles who need them most. This ensures that we can screen, prepare, and connect a caring Big with a Little, creating life-changing relationships.
A $500 donation could provide a college scholar with the essential books they need for an entire year. This helps fuel their success and makes a lasting impact on their education.
A $1,000 donation may help us provide community activities for our matches, helping to foster strong, positive relationships between Bigs and Littles. This donation makes these meaningful moments possible.
