Big Brothers Big Sisters of New York City (BBBS of NYC) held an open house Monday at Good Shepherd Services to celebrate the organization’s impact in Brooklyn. Big Brother Michael Bufano was honored as the “Brooklyn Big of the Year” for serving as a role model and helping his Little Brother, 10-year-old Devin, learn to express his feelings in mature and effective ways.
For BBBS of NYC, this year’s National Mentoring Month marks the launch of its 2016 citywide campaign to recruit more volunteer mentors, like Michael, in Brooklyn and across the boroughs.
