Become a "Big"
Our volunteers are the heart and soul of Big Brothers Big Sisters of New York City.
Being a Big Brother or a Big Sister means being a special friend to a child in need and having
the power to change not only a child's life and your own, but every life that child touches now
and in the future.
To learn more about becoming a Big Brother or Big Sister,

Other Ways to Volunteer
In this section, you also can learn about the other ways to volunteer with us, like joining our
Young Professionals Committee, our Big and Littles Chorus, or our special
Asian Mentoring Committee,
Bigs United and Latino Bigs groups.
We invite you to explore the other ways you can get involved with Big Brothers Big Sisters
of New York City.
We have a Volunteer Technology Committee
for those who want to lend us their technical expertise.
A great way to get your employer and co-workers involved is through our
Workplace Mentoring Program.
The Workplace Mentoring Program also has occasional needs for
Guest Speakers with
knowledge on a variety of topics such as Career Exploration, Financial Planning, and
Resume Writing; as well as contacts at NYC
Locations for our low-cost cultural, recreational, and community service field trips.
Skilled people with relevant experience can help out our various departments as
Part-time Intern Volunteers
We also encourage you to pursue local volunteer opportunities with other charity
organizations by visiting www.nycservice.org
and www.volunteermatch.org
