We are the Asian Mentoring Committee. Here to help new immigrant children through one-to-one mentoring
The Asian Mentoring Committee is a grass-roots movement composed of alumni,
current, and prospective volunteers of Big Brothers Big Sisters of N.Y.C.
focused on minority outreach.
Our mission is to provide support to Asian communities, especially recent immigrant
families transitioning to New York City by recruiting new mentors, creating exposure
and awareness, and offering peer support to one-to-one Mentoring relationships.
BBBS of NYC's Asian Mentoring Committee kicked off 2013's National Mentoring month
by launching a video campaign project to solicit submissions from Bigs in the New
American Program. The only rule of thumb was that the video illustrate the theme
of "Impact," with matches determining the content of the video.
Big Kendra and Little Amy's video is the first submission, and the AMC will keep the call
open until the Spring! Want to submit a video about your match? Contact us!
