My name is Amit. I'm 13 years old and I am in the 8th grade at IS 238 in Queens. My parents were born in Bangladesh and are Muslim. We moved to the US when I was 5. I wanted a Big Brother because my parents don't know American customs. They have different ideas for teaching kids and raising them. Its not always easy to talk to them about things that bother me. I also wanted to have someone to hang out with and explore New York City when I'm alone.
