Brian & Anthony: Slow Change
Everything is going really well with Anthony. I didn't realize the incremental changes in him until you mentioned them to me. But lately, it seems there is a huge positive shift. He talks a lot to me! A lot. He now actually calls me usually at least once per week. We went to the NJ Nets basketball game last week using the tickets we got from BBBS. Saturday the 29th we are going to get together and since he wants to join the football team next spring, we are actually going to do some running. He wants to increase his speed. So we will do some interval training. I will check anything we do with personal trainers that I know because he is only 13 and I already told him he can't lift any weights because he is too young. Also, by the way, he asked me to help him to get a job because he wants to earn some money and do something productive rather than just hanging around in the neighborhood. I was pretty blown away by that.
