One of the missions of Affiliate Summit is to bring together members of the internet industry,
including agencies, affiliates, merchants, networks, and vendors, to support worthy causes. Affiliate
Summit East 2009 will continue this mission by raising funds for Big Brothers Big Sisters of New York
City through a variety of efforts leading up to the conference, which will take place August 9-11 at
the Hilton New York.
100 percent of funds raised from the conference sponsorships, silent auction and other activities
will go directly to BBBS of NYC. Members of the affiliate marketing community attending the conference
also will be encouraged to make donations on behalf of their companies or themselves. Affiliate Summit
will be matching up to $5,000 in donations to Big Brothers Big Sisters of New York City.
On Clinique Happy Day, Friday, December 11, 2009, Clinique will offer packs of
Happy Holiday Cards with artwork created by our Littles as free gifts with
purchase at select Clinique retail counters nationwide, while supplies last.
Clinique Happy also has created a new Facebook application to celebrate
Happy Day, where people can create cute, personalized holiday ecards on
Facebook, post them on their walls and share them with their friends. The
designs created by our Littles are among the artwork choices provided.

The Clinique “Share Happy Get Happy” online video campaign gave consumers the
opportunity to share happiness with friends and family by creating and sending free personalized Happy
videos. For each e-card sent. Clinique Happy donated $1.00 – up to $100,000. Senders received an
email offer for a free spray bottle of Clinique Happy, redeemable at Clinique counters. Many celebrities
enjoyed sending Clinique Happy e-cards and the campaign received significant press coverage.
For the
Glamour Reel Moments Series, sponsored by Clinique, each time an original celebrity-filled short film was
viewed online or song was downloaded free-of-charge, Glamour Magazine donated $1.00 – up to $10,000.
Free DVDS of the 3 films also were available at Clinique counters.
On Happy Day, Happy Ambassador Whitney Port from MTV’s The Hills spread holiday cheer
with random acts of happiness in New York City. She skated with our delighted children at Wollman
Rink in Central Park before heading to Bloomingdale’s where she posed for pictures with
fans for the new Clinique Happy Personalized Photo Bottles. On Happy Day, Clinique donated $1.00
for each Happy Personalized Photo Bottle purchased – up to $10,000. This initiative also
garnered wonderful coverage by the media.

To celebrate the launch of its new video game, Teenage Zombies: Invasion of the Alien
Brain Thingys, Ignition Entertainment held a launch party at the Nintendo World
Store in Rockefeller Plaza and donated all proceeds from sales of the game to BBBS of NYC. Ajay Chadha,
President of .Ignition Entertainment, presented us with a $10,000 donation.
During the fun cause marketing retail event, the new Teenage Zombies game (rated E10+) was
available to play at every store console and BBBS of NYC materials, a Zombies t-shirt, sticker,
and balloon were distributed in goody bags to all attendees. Our banners were displayed and our
videos were shown on big screen TVs in the stores. Our adult mentors and children with whom they
are matched as well as many other children and their families enjoyed playing the game and having
their pictures taken with the Zombie characters.
"This game uses cartoon characters, in the form of zombies, to encourage teamwork and
overcoming challenges, which are part of the mentoring relationship. As our partner, Ignition
Entertainment appreciates the power of mentoring and is providing much-needed support," said

On Thursday evening, August 28th, a special concert event benefiting Big Brothers Big Sisters of New York
City was
held at Rumsey Playfield in Central Park. The popular platinum album-selling rock band and Best New Artist
Grammy
Award nominee Paramore performed with opening acts Jacks Mannequin, Phantom Planet, and Paper
Route.
A percentage of concert ticket sales were donated, empowering us to change the lives of more disadvantaged
children in our community.
Before the concert, our children and their mentors enjoyed a special meet and greet with all the band members.
Hayley, Jeremy, Josh and Zac signed autographs and posed for pictures.

On two separate evenings, Loehmann’s Chelsea invited consumers to a
fun night of shopping benefiting Big Brothers Big Sisters of New York City. During these retail
cause marketing events, customers enjoyed a special discount, along with refreshments, prizes and
more. Loehmann’s shared 5% of the evening’s proceeds with us - donating over $6,300.

On their designated Denim Day, Marsh & McLennan employees purchased special
stickers for $5.00 each that gave them the rare opportunity to wear jeans in the office. Big
Brothers Big Sisters of New York City received all Denim Day sticker proceeds as well as other
donations from MMC employees who raised nearly $3.000 for our children.
